The 2017 Maserati Levante is a new version of the Maserati that is being redesigned from the current Levante model, and is being introduced as a first crossover for the model year 2017. The car will not be designed as a competent off-road vehicle, similar to the Jeep Cherokee and the Land Rover Range Rover. This is because it will be more aimed towards luxury performance sport utility vehicles like the Porsche Cayenne and to a lower level, the Bentayga of Bentley. The internal and external styling of the 2017 Maserati Levante’s will look more like the Kubang Concept Sedan of Maserati which was revealed at the 2011 auto-show in Germany. However, it is important to keep in mind that the car will not be a genetic copy of the Kubang because the design lingo of the Maserati has evolved greatly since then.
2017 Maserati Levante – Stylish Exterior Design:
The 2017 Maserati Levante’s exterior is expected to be constructed on Maserati’s own platform instead of relying on the running gear of the Cherokee like it was planned from the beginning. The platform of the car will use a redesigned edition of the back wheel drive underpinnings that were used in the Quattroporte and Ghilbi sedans complete with its own Q4 four-wheel drive system. It will also be somewhat shorter than the Ghilbi, though it will still be visibly wider. The 2017 Maserati Levante is going to be equipped with a hexagonal grille that is vast gaping and has swept back headlamps, eight upright slats, and a power dome cover just like those found on the Quattroporte and Ghilbi sedans. It will also be equipped with high-profile tires that sit beneath the wheel arcs which are massively flared and suggest a broader track and extended wheelbase for the car.
The 2017 Maserati Levante’s interior will feature a new design that is borrowed from other cars the Maserati line-up with plenty of ideas from both the Ghilbi and the Quattroporte. It will also have a two-tone dashboard that will include an infotainment system and a console on the center stack. The materials in the interior will include leather, high quality plastic and Alcantra with contrast stitching. Aluminum finishes will also be there as a standard and carbon fiber will be optional. The 2017 Maserati Levante will also feature an instrument cluster and a steering wheel with a sporty look from the racing model car line-up of Maserati. The seats will have enough room for the head and shoulder despite the roof that is sloping. Nowadays, when looking at SUVs, luggage space that is sufficient is a must and this new model of the Levante will definitely not disappoint on this aspect.
2017 Maserati Levante – Whole Power Unit:
The 2017 Maserati Levante SUV is expected to be installed with no less than three engines and the most likely one to be installed in its base model will be a twin turbo 3.0 liter V6 that has a rating of 404 hp and 406 lb ft of torque. The range topping engine will most likely be a 3.8 liter V8 that will be copied from the Quattroporte GTS. The third engine will be a twin turbo that will deliver 523 hp and 479 lb ft of torque. The 2017 Maserati will have the ability to go from 0 to 60 in about five seconds. Rumors here and there have hinted at the possibility of a plug-in hybrid and diesel engine, but no official confirmation as of yet.
2017 Maserati Levante – Price and Expected Release Date:
The new Maserati Levante is expected to arrive in the late months of 2016 and its pricing will begin roughly around $80,000 – $100,000.
