Nissan Pathfinder model has existed in the auto world since 1985. It is a mid-size crossover SUV manufactured by the renowned multi-national automobile assembling firm, Nissan. 2016 Nissan Pathfinder comes with new and strong engines for better performance. Under its hood, it gets a 3.5 liter DOHC V6 engine with 24 valve paired with a Xtronic CVT. The engine is able to deliver 260 horsepower and 240 lb-feet of torque. Since the Pathfinder is specially made to be driven on all kinds of terrain, the automaker is offering both the all wheel drive and the two wheel drive variants. Its fuel consumption is rated at 20 mpg city and 26 mpg highway using the front wheel variant, and 19 mpg city, 25 mpg highway using the all wheel drive. This model will accelerate from zero to sixty mph in about 8 seconds.
A hybrid model might be offered and the expectations are that it will be combined with a 2.5 liter inline 4 gasoline engine and a 15 kW electric motor. The lithium-ion battery shall be installed under the third row seat and it will not affect the interior space.
