The second engine is the 1.6-liter EcoBoost which creates 178 hp and 184 lb-ft of torque. This engine is believed to be the most cost effective in the current Ford Escape model. The other engine alternative under the hood of the 2016 Ford Escape is the 2.0-liter EcoBoost which generates 240 horsepower and 270 pound-feet of torque. The transmission mode is standard for all Ford Escape models and it is the six speed automatic mode. Another standard feature in all the trim levels is the front wheel and the all wheel drive.

It is rumored that this car’s price will remain just as it is for the 2015 model. If this is the case, the base model will cost about $ 23 000. As for its launch date, there has not been any official communications. Nevertheless, it is speculated to be launched in the beginning of 2015 as a 2016 year model.
