The Chevrolet Trax is a sub-compact crossover SUV manufactured under the Chevrolet brand since the year 2013. Owing to the unanticipated sales increase of GM’s Buick Encore, GM wants to add Chevrolet Trax to its small crossover line-up in the year 2015. The exterior also comes with about ten optional colors such as Brilliant Blue Metallic, Deep espresso Metallic and Summit White.
This new model goes even further to add such incredible details in its interior. It is equipped with a dual cockpit similar to that of the new Sonic. There is also a gauge cluster which features analog and digital speedometer. This new model also comes with a three-spoke steering wheel which is leather upholstered in the LTZ and the LT trim level. As for the seats, they are wrapped in cloth on the LS model while the Lt model are offered with either cloth of leather but the LTZ model are completely covered with leather. The interior comes with various color choices which include jet black, titanium, and brownstone.
When it comes to safety, the 2015 Chevrolet Trax comes with ten airbags, a standard rear view camera, anti-lock brakes and OnStar with emergency response services, StabiliTrak electronic stability control with traction and roll-over mitigation and standard rear drum brakes on the front wheel variant and in the all wheel drive, they are upgraded to discs, etc. As for its technological features, this new model gets a 4G mobile connection for a number of devices, built-in Wi-Fi, BringGo app integration which converts the infotainment screen into a navigation system, standard My-Link voice activated infotainment system with a seven inch full color display, USB ports, Siri Eyes Free for iPhone iOS 6 and 7 among others.
2015 Chevrolet Trax: Engine and Fuel Economy
2015 Chevrolet Trax will be powered by a 1.4 liter turbocharged 4-cylinder powertrain producing 138 horses and 148 Nm of torque. The engine will be mated to a six speed automatic transmission with a variety of gear ratios which will pave way for relatively quick takeoffs, but a profound overdrive sixth gear for relaxed fuel efficient highway speed. It is estimated that this model’s fuel ratings will be at 29 mpg combines on the front wheel drive and 27 mpg combined with the all wheel drive. This new model will use a similar suspension set-up as that of the Encore.

This new 2015 Chevrolet Trax is expected to be priced at a lower price than the Buick Encore which goes for a base price of $ 25 585. Its release date was scheduled to take place in late 2014 or early 2015.
