2015 Audi SQ5 review, changes

Audi SQ5 is the first ever SUV model which Audi released when it first ventured in this high performance segment. This model is based on the same car derived platform as Audi’s Q5. The SQ5 is among Audi’s 2015 year line-up. The German automaker is planning to make minimal changes to the SQ5, meaning that this luxury crossover will be refreshed rather that redesigned. This model is quite similar to Audi’s Q5 but it comes with different body lines while its engine is more powerful. The 2015 Audi SQ5 will be a luxurious crossover with supercharged performance and increased cargo space. It will be available in two trims namely Premium Plus ad Prestige.

2015 Audi SQ5: Redesign Exterior and Interior

Inside this 2015 Audi SQ5 , it will get a three spoke multi-function flat bottomed steering wheel. Its instrumental panel will feature white needles while the pedals will be made of aluminum. Features on the trim levels will remain just as they are on the 2014 year model. These features include 20 inch alloy wheels with improved brakes compared to those of its cousin the Q5. Again, the xenon headlights and LED daytime running lights be available as standard. These lights will not only be functional, but they will also help in beautifying the SUV. In fact, beauty was also one of the philosophies behind the making of the iconic LED lights. Leather upholstery will also be standard. Just like the Q5, it will have 29.2 cubic feet of cargo space with its rear seats up, and 57.3 feet of cargo space with its rear seats folded.

Additionally, 2015 Audi SQ5 will come with a seven inch colored touch screen from where its occupants will control the MMI infotainment system. This MMI system will come with Audi Connect, Wi-Fi for up to eight passenger device, weather updates, local traffic updates and flight info and much more. Again, there will be a high quality 14 speakers Bang and Olufsen system with 505 watts of power. This audio system will provide the 2015 Audi SQ5 buyers with unmatched sound reproduction and clarity. Another available feature in this crossover SUV shall be the adaptive cruise control with stop and go. This great feature enables the Audi to maintain a preset distance in its front as well as read traffic conditions to accelerate and stop the SUV as needed. Last but not least is Audi side assist that alerts the driver when another vehicle enters the blind spot. As for the occupants safety the 2015 Audi SQ5 will come with standard safety features which include dual front, front side and full length side curtain airbags. In addition, there will be traction, tire pressure and stability control systems. Optional safety features like blind spot monitors and rear side airbags will be offered at an additional cost.

2015 Audi SQ5: Engine and Competitors

This refreshed crossover, 2015 Audi SQ5, will be propelled by a 3.0 liter V6 engine, the same engine that runs the Q5, only that it will generate high power outcome. It will be able to generate 354 hp at 6000 rmp and 345 lbs-ft of torque at 4000 rmp. It will drive on the 8 speed shiftable automatic hat will distribute power to all wheels. Its EPA of 2015 Audi SQ5 is rated  at 16/23 mpg city/highway drive respectively. The 2015 Audi SQ5 will compete with the more expensive Land Rover Range Rover Sport.
